Highland warrior, Dylan Macgregor learns revenge and retribution will not give him the peace he seeks. Every day since, he battles the darkness. Three-hundred years after being turned on a battlefield by an ancient born vampire, Dylan meets his life-mate, FBI profiler Special Agent Caitlin Donovan. When he discovers she’s been targeted for death by a demon overlord, can he find the assassins before they find her? The last of his light is at risk if he kills again, and then what will become of their love?

The second book to Heart of Darkness series... I rated it for the concept and being about Vampires. I’m not counting it out or saying its a bad read.

Poor Dylan has set himself a task “master” over a group of what I like to call misfits, I think some forget what it means to be a team. (smiles) on top of saving the world and Ridding it of demons, Dylan runs across his mate, as soon as they meet sparks fly. He sees himself not worthy... but will Catlin see that as well, she is a FBI agent, and yeah Dylan lights her a flame. Id give it 3.5 if I could just for adoring Dylan, you cant help but feel for him. Catelin herself isn’t free of the skeletons of the past knocking around in her closet. They both come out stronger for it.. and helluva fighters.

Our writer takes us back to the past in old Scotland, and to the present following Dylan’s life and how he came to be. I still felt dragged down by the details and for me it still dragged. I did like the characters, and liked the Dylan/Catlin match. It was good, so grab it and some coffee and let Ms. March take you on a nice magical ride. Enjoy
