The apocalypse has passed. The dead have risen. But what remains…

Colby, Darcy and Barrett are hardened soldiers with a new war. A deadly disease has decimated the human population, reducing it to small pockets of survivors who fight daily again the raging hordes of undead plaguing the planet. The three men are part of a recon mission, scouting locations where humans have been reported still alive amidst the dead. But after ten months of searching, they're ready to give up.

Abby Brennigan has been surviving on her own for half a year, hiding out in an old abandoned control tower. She hasn't seen anything remotely alive in what feels like forever, until the three men stumble upon her hideout and into her heart. She'd promised herself she wouldn't get close again…wouldn't put herself through the torture of watching another person she cared about slowly fade until they turn into a monster straight off the pages of a horror novel.

But the boys aren't taking no for an answer and as they face one test after another, the big question is—how long can they all remain untainted.

I wasn't sure at first what I'd think of this book. Zombies are the in thing for the moment, so I read it.
By the time I was almost to the middle of book, some parts had me sitting on the edge of my seat. Smiles. Three soldiers hardened by situation, out looking for survivors. A woman that has been on her own for many months, hardened by her own situation. The chance that anyone was still alive was slim to none, knowing that had given the guys a hardened view on existence. Abby had to become strong to wrestle with the demons in her closet.

Colby, Darcy and Barrett are tough as nails but also see that a time for change is upon them. They all have an ingrained need to protect the woman they've met, even at the times when she seems to want to throw her life away. Abby is used to being on her own, and takes risks to achieve her goal. Will she let her guard down enough to heal the loneliness?

I really did enjoy the storyline, not into the zombie craze but I did like this book. You hold your breath as they run through the buildings, as they jump over rooftops with a mass of rotting dead below them ready to make them all their dinner. Imagine the sound of shuffling dead.. imagine having to kill another human being, better yet imagine if that was your family member.

The story really didn’t have a BDSM elemet to it, more control/dominating. The foursome learns to deal with being on the edge of danger, and letting go and believing in life. The men are quicker to acknowledge how they feel about Abby. Abby keeps a stranglehold on her feelings, not wanting to get close, not wanting to fail again. But being in the arms of all three men, passion ignites. You can almost feel the pages sizzle, as hands roam and breaths gasps. The only sound in the room is moans of passion and hot need.

Your mind gets set into survival not only of life but of heart and soul. Enjoy.
