Blog Tour: Stripped Bare by Susan Mac Nicol

Stripped Bare
by: Susan Mac Nicol

Though two years past, Matthew Langer is still getting over the death of a loved one. He's steered clear of serious relationships, but when he meets the irascible, dirty mouthed and tempestuous Shane Templar that decision has never been harder. Shane is sexy, warm and funny, and Matthew finds himself trying like hell not to care about him. Especially when Shane, with his quick wit and hacking skills, is quick to stand up for justice and avenge wrongs. Then Shane strikes at the wrong target, and Matthew realises just how far gone he already is. At the threat of losing for good yet another man who’s broken through his armour, Matthew finds his heart stripped bare. He must face the demons of his soul or a future without love.

RomFan Reviews has done a review for Stripped Bare, and here's what we had to say:

I could not help but fall in love with Shane and Matthew.  The intensity of their desire for each other sizzled (a cold shower came to mind a time or two).  Love is love, sexual orientation is of little consequence in my book.  The love and care they give to their relationship is a thing of beauty.  My heart broke on more than one occasion, but love will survive if it is meant to be.  Hatred based on sexual orientation is to deny someone love.  This story encompasses many levels of what a same sex couple endures.  Thank you for writing such an amazing story.

Shane continued whispering. “I would love to break that control. See you beg, hear you say my name as you beg me to fuck you. Watch you let loose and just be yourself. Oops, sorry, I didn’t mean to swear. You can cane me later.”

“You are my lover, Shane,” he whispered, feeling a sense of release as he said the words. “My sexy, annoying, amazing man.” He kissed Shane passionately. “Mein Liebhaber,” he whispered.

“Welcome to Shane’s World. Come on. Let’s get upstairs. I’m so horny I should be two rhinos.”

“Huh. Well saved, Langer. But just so you know I am one hundred percent man. I intend proving just how much of the man in me there is later tonight-”

“You have to be the sexiest man I’ve ever bitten,” Matthew murmured with a smile.
“Actually, you’re the only man I’ve ever bitten.”

“I’m here and I’m not going anywhere. I’m so sorry I wasn’t there with you. I should have been. I don’t care what happened in the past. We were meant to be together, I know that. I’m just sorry it took something like this for me to be able to tell you that.”

About the author:

Sue Mac Nicol was born in Leeds, Yorkshire, in the United Kingdom. At the age of eight, her family moved to Johannesburg, South Africa where she stayed for nearly thirty years before arriving back in the UK in December 2000.

Sue works full time in the field of regulatory compliance for a company in the financial services industry in Cambridge. But she still finds time to work until the small hours of the night doing what she loves best – writing. Since her first novel, Cassandra by Starlight, was penned, introducing the debonair Bennett Saville and his lovely lady, Cassie Wallace, Sue has since written the other two books in her Starlight trilogy.

She currently has five further novels completed, and at various stages of publication, ranging from two rather sexy gay male romances- her current passion, plus a paranormal suspense series and an erotic crime thriller. She enjoys the element of gay male romance in her books and this thread runs many of them, including her Starlight series. Her passion is keeping herself busy creating worlds and characters for her readers to enjoy.

Sue is a member of Romance Writers of America and Romantic Novelists Association in the UK. She is also a member of a rather unique writing group, called the Talliston Writers Circle, which in itself has a story all of its own to tell.

She lives in the rural village of Bocking, in Essex, with her family. Her plan is to keep writing as long as her muse sits upon her shoulder. Her dream is to one day be able to give up the day job and get that big old house in the English countryside overlooking a river, where she can write all day and continue to indulge her passion for telling stories.
