Barbarian Claims #3
Released: July 2013
After quickly falling into lust, Elle and Berke bonded, and Elle was convinced life was perfect. Then her Chamele Warlord told her their bonding was a mistake, and left her on a distant planet while he went off to war. Forced into early retirement from bounty hunting because of her inability to be around other males due to the bond, she created a bounty hunter school exclusively for women. When she realizes two of her best students are now bonded to Chamele Warlords themselves, she sets out, resolved to find a cure for them before their lives are ruined, or worse, their hearts broken. She breaks into Berke's home, determined to find a way to break their bond and share the cure. What she finds instead is a lust that's been too long denied, and a burning passion to make up for their years apart. But Berke's enemy is near, and the two must learn to trust and rely on each other if they're to finally capture the villain and bring an end to the long, bloody war.
As I read this book, I had to laugh out loud when I realized how far off the mark both Elle and Berke were with each other. If they'd only taken the time to talk before Berke overreacted and dumped Elle, then the years of heartache could have been avoided. But as they say, absence makes the heart grow fonder, and with these two that's definitely the case. As soon as they saw each other after years apart, sparks flew and so did the clothing. The book was only about fifty pages, but it really felt complete, and it was neat to finally get a chance to meet Elle, since the past books have spoken of it. This is a fun, sexy series.
