Alien Hunger #3
by: Mel Teshco
Released: February 2013
Eden's always known her older sister will one day be taken from her. Betrothed to an alien prince before she was born, Eden knows that's not the life her sister wants. So when said alien prince shows up looking for his intended, Eden allows herself to be whisked away instead. Lies by omission aren't lies, right? But once she realizes how amazing his world is, and how kind and generous her fraudulent mate really is, she begins to wonder if she made the right choice. And what will happen to her once those lies are exposed? Because the aliens are still searching for women on Earth, and if they find out about her sister, well, she's not sure what will happen to her. All she knows is she's grown addicted to the prince's touch, and will do anything to not only keep her sister safe, but her man by her side.
Eden starts out with good intentions, but quickly realizes how deep her feelings for the prince run. She's also terrified he'll find out her secret, and sets out to keep him from knowing in the most stupid, foolhardy ways possible. I've read several books about people keeping secrets, but there's something about Eden that made me want to reach into the book and punch her. I have no idea where the anger towards her came from, but every time she made another dumb decision, I wanted to throw my book (but since it was an ereader, I didn't). And for being a ruler, the prince seemed a bit too trusting. The story idea was good, but I just couldn't get behind the characters on this one.
