When Professor Morgan Rains goes out to investigate a strange sound coming from her backyard, the last thing she expects to see is a naked man covered with burns and bruises. Jack Brandt is a former Navy SEAL on an undercover mission, and he's barely managed to escape from a terrorist militia's torture. When his torturers come back to claim him, he and Morgan are thrown into a pressure cooker of danger and intrigue, and they soon find themselves falling in love. When Morgan is captured, Jack must rescue the woman whose life now means more to him than his own.

Bad Nights was a frigging GREAT book, I can’t remember if it was chapter 2 or 3 when this book just shot into orbit with action and even with all that action the romance aspect did not get lost or ignored.

Morgan Rains is a lot tougher then she gives herself credit for, she’s just found a beat up naked man in her backyard and that propels her into an unimaginable situation, and she just rolls with everything that gets thrown at her, even though she’s terrified and seriously doubting her wisdom at helping out a stranger.

Jack Brandt, former Navy SEAL will put just about all his training to the test trying to get Morgan out of the mess he’s gotten her into, and failure is not an option.

When they finally get to a safe place, Jack can’t take it anymore, and Morgan refuses any longer to let her past influence her future and they both go after the one thing they want, each other.

THANK GOD this is a series because I can’t wait to read about Jack’s partners in Rockfort Security.
