by: Marisa Chenery
$5.20 ebook
Paranormal Erotica / Shifter
Released: September 2012

Exploring an ice cave on the Mantanuska Glacier in Alaska, Cassidy finds something out of the ordinary—six men dressed in fur and leather, motionless and seemingly dead. But she soon discovers they’re very much alive when her touch awakens one—and she finds herself pinned beneath his muscular heat in the blink of an eye.

Edensaw and his wolf brothers have slept for ten thousand years. As ice age Tlingit Indian hunters, they were chosen to be a new race of man, the first werewolves. They are the sentinels, created to protect against evil that is to come. But the touch of one woman ignites his mating urge and Edensaw awakens before he’s needed, into a world he no longer knows and a passion he cannot deny.

As the couple moves from lust to love, the dark evil brews, threatening not only to destroy the mating bond, but the sentinels themselves.

I usually rewrite the book blurb, but I really couldn't do a better job explaining this new series, so I left it alone.  Basically, this book is about a group of Ice Age warrior werewolves.  This was definitely a different take from the regular werewolf story.  These six men were turned by their village shaman into the first werewolves, then put to sleep once they'd all reproduced.  They were supposed to sleep until evil werewolves threatened the world, but awoke too soon, thanks to Cassidy.  It was fun to see these mighty warriors freaking out during their first car ride, or horrified because they thought changing the tv channel killed the people inside the box.  The dynamic between Edensaw and Cassidy lets you know right away they're destined to be together, and Edensaw shows great restraint waiting for Cassidy to quit freaking out and make up her mind.  A short story with lots of crazy caveman sex and plenty of heart.
