When Darius is approached by Lord Longstreet with a proposal he cannot believe is real he decides to take the deal.  What else could he do when he is in need of funds and selling himself to the bored wives of the titled has gotten old?  What is the deal?  Lord Longstreet needs an heir and his wife has chosen Darius as the man to provide it.

Lady Vivian has seen Darius many times and thought him to be a handsome man and she knows that deep down he would do everything in his power to protect the child from anyone who may want to cause him harm or attempt to take him away from her.

Vivian is not prepared for the man she finds herself spending a month with, Darius is wants more then to just make a baby he was to seduce her and actually talk like friends.

When the deed is done and Vivian goes back to her husband Darius soon finds he misses having her near, can he find a way back to her or will he have to watch from the sidelines the woman he loves and the child he gave her?

Grace Burrowes is becoming the queen of Regency romance.  Now with a new series she shows how difficult is it for two people drawn to each other but have so many complications in their way of happiness.  This was such a wonderful story, the connection between Vivian and Darius right from the beginning as you hoping that there will be some way for them to have a happy ending.  I look forward to the next venture into the Lonely Lords.
