Paolo D’Allesandro has
been living in his older brother Marco’s shadow. But he’s getting older now and
realizing he and Marco don’t want the same things. He’s not sure what his next
step is, but knows he needs to quit riding to figure it out.
Savannah Harrington is
a grad student working on a thesis about adrenaline junkies. She’s joined the
bull riders’ tour to study the men and their motivations to willingly take part
in a dangerous sport. Upon meeting Paolo, they both feel an instant connection.
She can’t stay away from the sexy Italian and his mind-numbing skills in the
bedroom, but knows the relationship can’t last.
Both wish their
circumstances were different, but Paolo doesn’t think he has anything to offer
Savannah, and Savannah doesn’t want to pressure Paolo into another life
decision that will make someone else happy, but not fulfill him. As her time to
go back to school draws closer, they need to figure out how to get their
highest score yet—in the game of love.
Cassandra Carr returns to her Bull Rider series and a look
into the life of Italian rider Paolo. At
23 Paolo is trying to decide if being a bull rider is really what he wants to
do. And then one day he spots Savannah
and his world is about to change. By the
time you finish reading this book you will be hunting down the first rodeo you
can find just to check out the bull riders and hoping you come across your very
own Paolo. I love the fact that Carr has
brought a character that may be strong, he would have to be to ride a bull, but
yet he is insecure, at least in some ways.
Up to this point he was happy to remain in his brother’s
shadow but now he wants to be something more, something that would allow him to
have a future with Savannah. Savannah is
the strength in their relationship, what a breath of fresh air that brings to a
story.
I would suggest picking this one up and giving it the ride,
sorry, read it deserves and before you know it time will pass and you will
still be engrossed in the story until you have well exceeded your 8 seconds and
have found yourself at the end of the book. I look forward to reading more from this
talented writer.
