Ginger's never understood her brother's obsession with the paranormal, but wrote it off as nothing more than a hobby.  Years later, her brother's a successful paranormal investigator working for a TV show, and Ginger has to admit he's good at it.  When Chris receives a letter from a distraught couple claiming they started having paranormal issues after a home renovation, Chris decides to take the case.  But when his crew quits at the last moment, he's forced to turn to Ginger for help.  She's skeptical, but agrees to help her brother.  What she didn't count on was Adam, her no-good rotten ex-boyfriend from high school.  She blames Adam for all the troubles she's had since he dumped her, and can't see spending two weeks in close quarters with him.  Her traitorous body's reaction every time he gets near her doesn't help either.  But the show must go on, so she reluctantly agrees, promising to harden her heart against him..  And once the group starts digging around on the background of the haunted house, they realize they may have stumbled upon something none of them were prepared for....

This was a neat story about paranormal investigation, and a few scenes made the hair on the back of my neck stand up.  The story took a bit to get into, but it did help to explain the war brewing between Ginger and Adam.  I learned quite a bit about home renovations from this story as well.  A few scenes dragged out longer than I liked, but because the book mainly centers around the paranormal investigation aspect with the romance starring in second place, I can understand why.  Good read.
