Welcome to RomFan
Reviews Shoshanna, it is a pleasure and an honor to have you with us
today. I would like to thank you for
taking time out of your busy schedule to be here.
Tell us a little
about your new release The Man Who Holds
the Whip.
Shoshanna Evers: Thanks for having me! The Man Who Holds the Whip is an a BDSM erotic romance novella. Here’s the blurb:
When Grace discovers her gorgeous ex-boyfriend Ian broke her heart three years ago so he could pursue a career as a Dom on a BDSM internet porn site, she never expected to be intrigued...and aroused. Ian looks damn good holding that whip. But can a girl who’s always considered herself “vanilla” fire up her kinky side for love?
To find out, she’s going to audition for a chance to play Ian’s sexual submissive—and maybe find her way back into his heart.
The Man Who Holds the Whip is a 28,000 word MaleDom BDSM erotic romance novella from bestselling erotica author Shoshanna Evers.
(Available at Amazon, Barnes & Noble, and Smashwords.)
I know you made a big announcement recently, would you like to share your news of what we will see coming from you in the future?

Shoshanna Evers:
I’d love to! I’ve got a six-book deal with Simon & Schuster’s Pocket Star
imprint, so I have two new trilogies coming out next year, starting in April
2013. The first is the Enslaved Trilogy, which is about the BAD Boys - three
billionaire Doms and the women they fall in love with. After that is the Pulse
Trilogy, which is a dystopian post-apocalyptic erotic romance that takes place
in Manhattan after an EMP wipes out the power grid.
Why BDSM?
Why BDSM?
Shoshanna Evers: Well,
I write the books I want to read. BDSM erotic romance is hot! The power
exchange and communication level necessary for a healthy D/s relationship
really raises the stakes as well. I love writing BDSM stories. *g*
What genres and authors would we find you reading when taking a break from your own writing?
What genres and authors would we find you reading when taking a break from your own writing?
Shoshanna Evers:
I read the books my friends write, including BDSM erotica, contemporary
romance, m/m erotica, etc. I also read whatever catches my eye from the New
York Times Bestseller list so I can stay current. And I read a lot of marketing
and finance books, because that interests me, as does anything to do with being
a “prepper” - such as preparing for the possibility of a real-life grid-down
scenario.
If I was a first time reader of your books, which one would you recommend I start with and why?
If I was a first time reader of your books, which one would you recommend I start with and why?
Shoshanna Evers: Oooh,
I get that question almost every single day, and I still don’t quite know how
to answer it. I usually refer people to my FAQ page, which says:
You have a lot of books! Where should I start?
You have a lot of books! Where should I start?
That depends on what type of story you’re in the mood for, and if you’re in the
mood for something shorter or longer. If you want something super short and
cheap to get a taste of my writing, try my Amazon Erotica Bestseller, Overheated.
I have all of my books listed with tag lines and links by category, for example
MaleDom BDSM erotica vs. FemDom BDSM erotica vs. steamy contemporary romance,
etc, on this page: http://shoshannaevers.com/all-books-listed.
Happy reading!
I know that doesn’t 100% answer the question. If I’m really pressed to answer, I might suggest reading Punishing the Art Thief from Ellora’s Cave, since it was the first book I ever had published, and I threw every kinky thing I could think of into it, LOL. Of course, since then I’ve learned some more kinky things... So you might want to read whatever is most current and work your way backward. :)
What’s something fans would find fascinating about you?

Shoshanna Evers: No
pressure! LOL :) Fascinating, huh? I don’t know about fascinating, but I
started reading BDSM erotica when I was quite young. I stole my mom’s copy of Story of O.
How do your family and/or friends feel about your book or writing venture in general?
How do your family and/or friends feel about your book or writing venture in general?
Shoshanna Evers: My
family is proud of my success and they’re happy I’m getting paid to do what I
love, and that I can stay home with my son. But they don’t read my books. Even
my husband doesn’t usually read my books! He says he can’t keep up with me
because I write more than he can read, LOL. My friends who aren’t authors don’t
really read my books either. But they think it’s cool, I guess. My mom read Snowed in With the Tycoon and said she
loved it, but I’m not sure how comfortable I am with my parents reading my
work. *squick*
Do you work on one project at a time? Or do you multi-task?
Do you work on one project at a time? Or do you multi-task?
Shoshanna Evers: I
multi-task because I have to! When I’m writing one book, I’m in revisions on
the book I wrote before it. And I tend to have several projects going at once.
Last week I had three open WIPs on my computer, LOL.
What's the weirdest thing you've ever done
in the name of research?
Shoshanna Evers: *Blushes* I can’t tell you! LOL ;) But one of the things I did was play with a violet wand so I could better write about it. Yes, I got electrocuted for my work. Blood, sweat and tears, baby!

Now just a few fun questions if that is okay?
Shoshanna Evers: Of
course.
What’s a guilty pleasure you have?
What’s a guilty pleasure you have?
Shoshanna Evers: Cigarettes,
but I don’t indulge. I vape an e-cig when I feel the urge.
What is sexier boxer or briefs?
What is sexier boxer or briefs?
Shoshanna Evers: boxer-briefs.
Who’s more fun, bad boys or perfect gentlemen and why?
Who’s more fun, bad boys or perfect gentlemen and why?
Shoshanna Evers: Um,
does *anyone* ever respond “perfect gentlemen?” lol! BAD Boys are so much fun I
wrote a whole trilogy about them! Of course, my BAD Boys stands for
“Billionaire Arrogant Doms” - that’s what people nicknamed their crew, but the
arrogance is just an act. They’re definitely billionaire Doms though...*sighs
dreamily* Sorry, what were we talking about? LOL
If you came with a warning label, what would it say?
If you came with a warning label, what would it say?
Shoshanna Evers: Warning:
Dangerous Curves Ahead! LOL No, I don’t know. :)
