Nicole Crannock devoted her time to raising her son and had
long since buried the sexual being she discovered in her twenties. However, you
can only suppress these emotions just so long before they beg to be
released. She seeks out her favorite
online site, Der Unterwold, and decides to give these old feelings new
life. Of course, the unsavory descend
with their less than attractive dialogue and she politely declines, but one
message holds her attention. Mystery Angel, aka Nicole and Dark One known as DL
develop an online friendship that eventually becomes physical. DL pushes Nicole's limits...physically,
mentally, and emotionally as they forge their bond.
This book was an emotional roller-coaster. At times, I loved DL and others made me
cringe at the cruelty, but was captivated at their growing bond. Nicole grew into her submissiveness with
DL. The author's knowledge of BDSM was
very evident throughout the story. My
only confusion came at the very end and it left me feeling lost. The story had a sinister feel to the plot and
characters which I felt were left unresolved, but overall I enjoyed the story
and character development.
