Tia's grown up different.  Stronger and faster than humans, she also doesn't age like they do.  Although the proof that she's something else is hard to ignore, she considers herself human, and is part of a special forces unit designed to counter the race of cat shifters on the planet.  She's sent out on a mission to destroy a deadly chemical the enemy has, only to find out such a thing doesn't exist.  Instead, she nearly dies and is saved by the enemy.  A very sexy enemy general, in fact.  Although Inuku's sensual looks and caresses make her burn, she knows she must escape.  When tragedy strikes and the truth of who and what she is comes to light, she must make a choice--go back to the life she knew, or embrace a new one with the man who makes her blood burn.

This story told of how the humans had destroyed their part of the planet, and wanted the resources on the shifters' side.  To get it, they spouted lies, and declared war.  Tia was a mindless soldier in that fight until she came to the horrible discovery that the humans lied to her.  The story was written well, but I had a hard time believing how Tia could switch her way of thinking from one extreme to the other so quickly.  Even with the spiritual mysticism involved, there should have been more turmoil or something.  Other than that, I enjoyed it.
