Everyone's Out for Blood—Hers

Ciara’s con-artist parents taught her three keys to survival: keep low, keep quiet, and most of all, keep moving. But managing WVMP, the Lifeblood of Rock ’n’ Roll—not to mention becoming a vampire herself—has kept her in one place long enough to fall madly in love, adopt an undead dog...

. . . and make more enemies than she can shake a stake at.

A psychotic DJ, a wanna-be necromancer, and a posse of vengeful hippies would all love to see Ciara get her day in the sun—literally. To protect Ciara, her fiancĂ©, Shane, has traded his flannel shirt and guitar for a flak jacket and crossbow. If she survives to walk down the aisle, will she recognize the man waiting at the altar?

In this final chapter of the award-winning WVMP RADIO series, Ciara must decide who to trust, who to love—and who to kill.

Jeri Ready-Smith takes us back to her world of vampire DJs all I can say is “I did not see that coming” Jeri throws a big curve ball in the storyline and what a curve it was.  It is a bittersweet feeling knowing that this is the end of the series but she could not have ended it any better.  Of course I would not be disappointed should she decide to throw us a bone once in a while with maybe a short story of how Ciara and Shane are doing or even spin-off with her other DJs.   I have been on this journey since Ciara and Shane made their first appearance in Wicked Game and was hooked and wringing my hands waiting for the next book to be released.  If you love vampires, rock n’ roll and kick ass people who love them both you MUST read this series.  Thank you Jeri for an amazing ride!!

One of the last places Johnny Quinn wants to be is a club for his birthday but, if it makes his girlfriend Steffi happy then he will do anything.  That includes having sex in the club where if anyone is really looking will know exactly what is going on.  Even better Steffi is not done with her surprises for Johnny.

Yes, this was written as part of Ellora’s Cave new EC for Men line but trust me women will enjoy it just as much.  If looking for a quick, hot, fun and no emotional roller coaster read then you must read Birthday Boy.  I thoroughly enjoyed this story that I made a quick read of it and it will stay on my e-reader to read again when I need something fun and enjoyable.

It seemed that whenever Lucy didn’t want to follow through on a commitment, she knew just how to get her older sister, Christine, to do it for her.  She would bribe her with the promise of their deceased mother’s strand of pearls. So when Lucy’s boyfriend wanted in on the BDSM Poker Night and lost, it was her sister that paid the price.  Lucy convinced Christine to take her place with the promise of the pearls and all she had to do was submit to Daniel for a one night power exchange. She reluctantly agreed, only because she wanted those pearls. Christine had so many fond memories of wearing them, but her conniving sister swindled them out from away her.

Tonight, she finds herself standing in a private room at the club waiting for Daniel, and he was late.  An hour later she hears to door open and was not prepared for who walked through. Christine was angry about so many things by that moment…having to cover for Lucy again and being kept waiting topped her list. Her behavior almost cost her the night, but Daniel knew there was more to her story. Any good Dom worth his weight could read a sub. When their time was up, they didn’t want the night to end. Daniel promises a night of sleeping and cuddling. And like a true gentleman that’s all that happened…for now.

Their relationship intensified in and out of the bedroom.  Without even knowing, Christine and her tattoo became the muse for Daniel’s next line of jewelry.  So when she is tired of Lucy’s lies, she make a personal appearance at her apartment to get the pearls only to be handed a plastic bag full of loose pearls.  Christine feels as broken as the strand of pearls until Daniel promises that he can fix them. Except, she never expects him to create something so beautiful and meaningful with her precious memories, but like the pearls Christine is new and whole thanks to the love of a man.

Sidney’s characters are so real that you can’t help but relate on some level.  Christine has felt like a second fiddle to Lucy her whole life despite her very successful career. Due to Daniel’s past, he yearns for physical contact to comfort his inner chaos. And when you mix the chemistry of Daniel and Christine, they are bound to combust!  The sex between them is of epic proportions and their connection visible as they give and take from the other. You cannot help but fall in love with them, and think of a few things you might like to do to Lucy in the meantime as well.

In this follow up to Dom For Sale, it finds Master Gareth and Liz navigating the waters of their new D/s relationship.  Their relationship grows in and out of the playroom, but still Gareth holds back.  His past keeps him closed off to love, but he is about to meet Mistress Elizabeth who will tip his world on its axis.

Liz takes the time to learn what it will take to wake her Dom up and see what is standing right in front of him. Hopefully, the view from his knees will give him the proper perspective.  It is a huge risk on Liz’s part that could backfire in her face.  Can Master Gareth learn to kneel and open his heart to love?

I rooted for Liz the moment I discovered what she was planning.  The plot is unique and one I enjoyed from start to finish.  This is a short story that packs a powerful message with a few giggles thrown in to keep it from getting too serious. Liz and Gareth make their first appearance in Dom For Sale but Training the Dom can be read as a standalone.
