Lord Valentine Windham has only known how to show his
feelings and express himself through his music and the piano. When all of sudden he is unable to play he is
lost and afraid he will never be able to play again. So, to lick his wounds he
heads to the country and throws himself into fixing up the country home.
Widow Ellen Markham (FitzEngle) remembers Val from when he
visited a year before and they shared a wonderful kiss. She never thought he would come back although
she had secretly hoped. Now he is here
and he wants Ellen but she has her own secrets and fears that she feels would
be unfair to burden Val with.
Will Val realize that there is more to life then just the
piano and ways to express how he feels?
And will Ellen give in to his seduction and share her secrets and pain
with the man she is falling in love with?
The latest in Gace Burrowes Windham family is a wonderful
love story that draws you into the pages and makes you feel the pain that both
Val and Ellen are feeling. It is also
full of humor; of course we get the treat of the Windham brothers and Val’s friends who are as
usual sticking their noses in their brother’s business. I will admit that I have been waiting for
Val’s story from the minute he appeared on the pages of The Heir and I am not disappointed Grace Burrowes delivers a top
notch storyline for Val.
