Taelen is determined to find the existence of the Nephilim, the gods his people worship.  An alien, he's on Earth with the government's consent, and doesn't plan to leave until he finds what he's looking for.

What he doesn't expect to find is Rachel, head of the archaelogical dig his team takes over.  When a flash flood hits, he's compelled to save her, even though he knows he shouldn't.  When her injuries seem to miraculously heal right before his eyes, he thinks she's somehow been blessed by his gods, and dares to hope he's finally found them.

What he doesn't realize is that Rachel harbors a secret, one that threatens not only her life, but the lives of the gods he worships.  Now the two must race against time to find the cause of this mysterious god-killer before it's too late.
