Kenan, an incubus, is an avid collector of souls, especially women's.  When he finds a caged angel for sale at the Hellsgate marketplace, he's determined to have her soul.  After buying her and getting her cleaned up, he's instantly enthralled with her beauty and purity.  When she tells him she got caught while in pursuit of a girl's soul, he's driven to help her.  And when he tells himself it's so he can gain her trust to take her soul, he almost believes it.

As the two work together to find the girl's soul, he finds himself drawn to her more and more, and begins to wonder if his powers of seduction will work on her, when it seems she's the one with the siren's call.  But seduction will have to wait, because they've unearthed a plot by a shadowed player, one intent on starting a war between Heaven and Hell.  Now he must decide whether to let his angel go to keep her safe, or brave certain death to keep her by his side...forever.

I've always loved stories with angels and demons in it, and this book doesn't disappoint.  It's a great love story between two beings where love is forbidden, but neither care for the rules.  He's an incubus, she's an angel, so the two should hate each other, but dire circumstances throw them together, and teach them both what it is to care for another.  Throw in the Horsemen of the Apocalypse, and you've got a pulse-pounding, edge of your seat thriller that sweeps you away.

My only problem was that the story was way too short.  I would love to see this book a little longer, or maybe make a series out of it.
