by: Elizabeth Hoyt
$6.99 mass market paperback

Historical Romance
Released: August 2010

Temperance Dews lives in St. Giles where she and her brother take in the homeless children no one wants. On the border of losing everything she can only hope a miracle will happen to save them. Little does she know that the miracle is a man who can give her a chance to save the home but is she willing to take the risk knowing what kind of man he really is?

Lazarus Huntington, Lord Caire is bound to discover the person who murdered his mistress even if it means asking for help with the people of St. Giles. When he comes across the widow who runs the foundling home he knows he has discovered the person who can help him. But, when she demands entrance to society he will find himself in foreign territory even for someone raised with the aristocracy.

As Temperance and Caire draw closer to the killer they find themselves becoming drawn to each other as well but Caire has no intentions on letting his emotions get the better of him but he is more than willing to seduce Temperance into an affair she will never forget. Of course Temperance is not so easy to seduce.

WICKED INTENTIONS is the perfect beginning to Elizabeth Hoyt’s Maiden Lane Series. Filled with suspense and romance a story that takes place in the slums as well as the ballrooms Temperance and Caire are the two people that would have never met under normal circumstances. I have always enjoyed Ms. Hoyt’s books and this one will be added to the keeper shelf.
