Olivia Grace has found herself close to the battlefield assisting with the injured when she comes across the man she thought she would never see again the man who left her and divorced her. But what is he doing wearing a French uniform and should she even bother trying to save his life?

Jack Wyndham, Earl of Gracechurch wakes to find his beautiful wife taking care of him but has no memory of how he was injured. He believes it is 1810 when in actuality it is 1815 his last memory with his wife was a small argument over her gambling but he is not in his bed and something just is not right but the memories won’t come to him.

Olivia is told by the doctor to not tell Jack any information as it may cause further harm so she finds herself taking care of the man she has always loved and leading him to believe that they are still married is it possible she may get her second chance with Jack or will his memory come back causing her world to come crashing down on her again as it did when he left her before?

I was so engrossed in BARELY A LADY that I could not put it down. You can almost feel the pain and anger that Olivia goes through and the frustration Jack feels at his loss of memory the passion they feel for each other is touching. For those looking for that ultimate regency romance this is it.
