Conall Dearghul is a Dhampire part vampire and part werewolf. Regardless of his past encounter with Sin and his friendship with her brothers he has been ordered by the council to bring her in. He has a blood connection with Sin thanks to their one time together so it should be no problem catching her.

As Con soon discovers things are not going to go the way he had planned. Not only is the council demanding her head but her own assassins our out to take her role as master. The urge to be with Sin and her demon requirements for sex makes it difficult for him to just turn her in to be killed. So, he does what any full blooded male would do he gives Sin the sexual release she needs as well as tries to help Sin figure out a way to stop the virus from spreading and using her other talents try to cure those that they can.
