After spending a year in jail for breaking a planet's law while tracking a bounty, Harmony is finally free to continue her hunt. Determined to catch her prey and get her perfect record back, she's dismayed to find her ship is out of commission. She grudgingly turns to Tanner, a fellow bounty hunter for help. Although the sight of his chiseled, scarred body makes her mouth water, she can't stand him, but knows she must work with him if she wants to catch her bounty.
Tanner reluctantly agrees to help Harmony, although her obsessive ways make him want to bang his head against the nearest bulkhead. After spending time with her, though, he begins to see the vulnerable woman buried under her tough as nails exterior. Suddenly nothing is more important to him than stripping away the last of her defenses, as well as her clothes.
Now Tanner must learn to work with Harmony in order to catch her bounty, as well as her heart.
This book was...awesome! I loved it. The characters jumped out of the page at me, and I was able to see the scenes playing out in my head in HD while I read. I loved the quips thrown back and forth between the two. Harmony is almost obsessive-compulsive in her single-minded determination to catch her bounty, and because of that, she's got a near perfect record. She's only been unable to capture one bounty, and that's because she was thrown in jail before she could. Once she's released, she's determined to catch him, but becomes too emotionally attached to the job because of it. Tanner thinks she's too uptight, but agrees to help her, mainly because he's lusted after her for a while. The chemistry between the two characters is smokin' hot, and I can't wait to read more by these talented authors.
