Selected by Ra as a warrior Set as second-in-command has too much to do keeping up with protecting the mortals from the undead he has no time to deal with a human woman who may be his mate. But when he is seen killing an undead and unable to erase the memories of the woman he knows he has no choice she is his mate and he must do everything he can to convince her that their future is together.

Desiree has watched Set from a distance at the bar she works at and has been secretly attracted to the man and admits maybe even already in love with him. One night of seeing something she should not have is about to change her life forever. Now feeling trapped as a captive at Set’s headquarters along with all the other warriors she is determined to escape from the crazy people who believe they are immortal and regardless how sexy and hot Set is she is not prepared to give him her blood.

Will Set be able to convince Desiree of whom and what he is before it is too late for him as he now needs her blood to survive no other will do. Will Desiree give in to her desires and her feelings and stay with Set and give him what he needs.

Marisa Chenery has a hit series with her Ra’s Chosen MATE HUNGER is the second book in the series and it can be described in one word “HOT”. Set is tall, dark and handsome what more could a woman want. Desiree is the skeptic regardless of what she saw with her own eyes she cannot bring herself to believe that there are such things in the world. Their constant battles are full of emotion and heat.

Another nice thing about this series is you do not have to read the first book to follow the second. I am thoroughly looking forward to the next book in this series.
